You're right -- you're going to be whipped.

Speedball nibs and all things Speedball put out are anathema to me.  The
nibs are much too soft to get good control, and the book teaches the hard
way of learning hands.  All you need to know is how to figure out the
strokes for the o and the i of any hand, and you've got the whole hand
figured out.  None of that trying to leaving the Speedball book at home and
get a copy of Drogin.  Really, truly.

Come take my beginning calligraphy class on November 1 at the Kingdom
Herald's & Scribe's Symposium.  Or, invite me to  your group -- I'll be
happy to come if you help with the gas.
