[NS-Heralds] Name Help

Ok... so Wood, Wode, Wodde, and such would be pronounced closer to W-oh-d
the earlier they are seen and Wood later in period (no matter how many O's
or D's?)? As far as Atte, is it prouncouced simple as "at", "at-teh", or ??
As far as Denes, I looked up in St Gabriel, and Denise (as we prounounce it
today... Deh-nEEse... sorry I'm not good with the common pronunciation
typing) wasn't really used in period, it was more Den-eSS... or did I
misread? Sorry, I'm writing from work so I don't have the particular report
number offhand.

Also, if anyone knows anyone else who is a funeral-brasses geek, if they
could possibly put me in contact, I would love to eventually get a photo or
rubbing of these folk's brasses.
